As you can imagine, life in the desert has its challenges. However, that doesn't hateful information technology's any less pleasant to live out there than information technology is to take a hillside house in the middle of a forest. This beautiful desert house from Paradise Valley is the perfect case.
It was built in 2016, being a projection developed by Kendle Design Collaborative one which shows great respect for the natural topography of the site, the views and the local vegetation. Even the fact that this expanse usually gets flooded a few times a year didn't discourage the architects from making the most of this location.
This is a house that celebrates nature and desert living by blurring the line between the inside and outside areas and including features such as an outdoor kitchen, rammed world walls, expansive glazed surfaces and wooden floors, ceilings and furniture which create a warm and welcoming ambiance while also ensuring a seamless visual connection with the landscape.
The architects used local materials and a palette of textures and colors inspired by the views and the immediate surroundings. The modern dining room setup shows just how site-sensitive this whole project is, almost giving the impression that nature comes into the room.
